“Hedge Fund Trader vs Commercial Forex Guru”

Recently when I posted about the ForexTrading Training Program, a lot of people had asked me about what is the difference between a Hedge Fund Trader and Commercial Forex Guru. I would try to explain here in a simple way as possible here so we can share with everyone.

Hedge Fund Trader

A Hedge Fund Trader is person who makes a living by trading his personal money or client’s money in a Hedge Fund; he is a real professional trader who cans consistently making profit from the market. Because of the urge to create consistent profits to make a living and survival, they are usually highly skilled and disciplined.

The Hedge Fund is an investment fund that could be in few million dollars to few billion dollars, depending on the capital injected by the investors. Hedge Fund usually involves using Leverage where the profit can be hugely exaggerated. For an example, a $1 million dollar Hedge Fund can make a return of $5 million with high leverage trading. Because of its high risk nature, the Hedge Fund Trader has very good skill sets in live trading and money management.

Traditionally, Hedge Fund is not open to public, because the capital required to start investing is at relatively big amount and more suitable for the Rich people. Hedge Fund are those “Big Boys’ institution who move the market in the everyday direction. That’s the reason a lot of people don’t know about them, but the truth is that some of the richest people in the world are Hedge Fund people. The most famous Hedge Fund Trader is like George Soros, John Paulson, Steve Cohen, Louis Bacon, these people are on the Forbes list of World Billionaires.

Commercial Forex Guru

Commercial Forex Guru is a person who teaches about Forex in an educational way through their Commercial Forex Courses. You will usually see them advertise a lot on the public media and making seminar speeches in investment fair events. Basically their main business is education where they need to get student sign-ups to continue operating their businesses.

Although some of them are very good traders themselves, but they won’t always participate in the live financial market and trades to make a living. In some sense, this would create a difference in the survival essence of trading as a living where they wouldn’t feel the urge to create consistent profits to survive another day as real professional traders. Their core income is the Forex courses income.

However, they are good teachers for you if you just want to learn about trading and not ready to make trading as a living in the shortest time possible. The Commercial Forex Courses they teach usually involves three days fundamentals and theories, follow up with few boot camp sessions where they discuss live trading with you and that’s where ends. Although this is ok, some beginner traders will need more training and exposure to become better in skill but a lack of follow ups and guidance usually results them to be confuse in the process afterwards.

Conclusion

There are advantages and disadvantage to learn Forex Trading either from Hedge Fund Trader or Commercial Forex Guru. It all depends on your seriousness to learn about trading skill either to start making real trading income or just want to learn some fundamentals about Forex trading. Both are cater for your preferences.
